About Nora
Nora Spielman, a New York native, is a distinguished classical guitarist and educator currently based in Bozeman, Montana. During her time in New York City, she founded the Odeon Guitar Series, a platform dedicated to showcasing emerging classical guitar talent. From 2017 to 2022, the series successfully hosted six seasons of concerts, featuring 45 artists from around the globe.
While pursuing her master’s degree at Hunter College, Nora embarked on a significant project to commission new works for solo classical guitar from female composers. This initiative has led to the premiere of pieces by notable composers such as Mariel Mayz and Alyssa Regent.
In 2023, Nora took on the role of Tour Director for the Guitar Foundation of America, where she organizes a prestigious 50-city North American tour for the grand prize winner of their international concert artist competition. She earned her Doctorate in Music with a focus on classical guitar performance from SUNY Stony Brook, studying with João Luiz (Brasil Guitar Duo).
Nora is passionate about both solo and chamber music, maintaining an active performance and teaching schedule in Montana and New York. Nora is currently an Assistant Teaching Professor at Montana State University’s Honors College and School of Music.
